Before every ride
Inspect the board in a dry, well-lit area before entering the water. Look for cracks, impact marks, loose hardware, damaged traction material and signs of water entering sealed areas. Confirm that the jet inlet and outlet are clear and that the propulsion system cannot start during inspection.
Check the handheld control, throttle return, safety tether or magnetic stop system and remaining energy or fuel. Wear a suitable personal flotation device and the protective equipment required for the conditions and local law. Avoid riding alone, in swimming zones, close to people or around submerged obstacles.
- Confirm weather, current, water temperature, visibility and a safe return route.
- Inspect bindings and adjust them so the rider can release safely if required.
- Keep hands, clothing, straps and tools away from the jet inlet and outlet.
- Stop immediately if control response, sound, temperature or vibration is abnormal.
Battery and fuel-system precautions
For an electric board, inspect the battery enclosure and connectors before installation. Do not use or charge a battery that is swollen, cracked, leaking, unusually hot, water-damaged or producing an unfamiliar odor. Connect only when the battery bay and contacts are clean and dry, and use the specified charger on a suitable electrical circuit.
For a petrol board, work in a ventilated area away from ignition sources. Check fuel lines, caps, seals and the engine compartment for leaks before starting. Use the specified fuel and lubrication procedure, clean spills immediately and never store fuel inside occupied living areas.
After salt water and during storage
Salt deposits accelerate corrosion and can restrict cooling passages. After salt-water use, follow the product procedure to rinse the board, jet system and exposed hardware with fresh water. Dry the board fully before closing storage covers or reconnecting a charger.
Store the board supported so the hull cannot deform. Keep it away from direct sun, freezing conditions, excessive heat and standing water. Batteries and fuel systems require their own storage procedures; follow the specification for charge level, inspection interval, ventilation and long-term inactivity.
- Record impacts, repairs, battery behavior and maintenance dates.
- Replace damaged safety equipment rather than attempting a temporary repair.
- Use original or approved components that match the electrical and mechanical specification.
When to stop and request service
Do not continue riding after a hard impact, unexpected water ingress, repeated control loss, overheating, unusual vibration or a damaged battery. Move the product to a safe location without operating the propulsion system and contact support with the serial number, order details, photos and an unedited video when it is safe to record one.
Complex electrical, battery, fuel or propulsion work should be completed by an authorized technician. FUSOO requires written authorization before any return shipment because batteries, fuel-system components, engines and complete watercraft may require specialist dangerous-goods handling.
